Double Door Design: Three waterfalls representing Kupu, Pono, and Poukihi flow together through the landscape to feed the ocean below. Manu o Kū dance in the sky with an ʻIo rising above. A lush ʻulu tree is heavy with fruit and a keiki springs forth from its roots. Even the pūhala bears fruit and prepares its aʻa to establish itself further into the landscape. The ocean swirls with currents that reflect those in the sky, symbolizing the interconnectedness of all things and calling upon an oli adapted from the prophecy of Kapihe, “E iho ana o luna, e piʻi ana o lalo, e hui ana nā moku, e kū ana ka paia. ”Our efforts through Kupu, Pono, and Poukihi contribute to the growth and changing tides of not only Hawaiʻi but also our wider Pacific network.
Phone Booth Design: This aerial landscape is inspired by Honololu Harbor, where Kupu’s new Harbor Court office is located. The sprawling landscape and calm harbor draw us near, like a seabird or boat seeking refuge. Likewise, Kupu hopes for this to be a place of peace and gathering for their employees and many partners.
